Just now 61 and guess what ffs

I ve decided after a few years away from the endurance mountain events to start holl speed marches again ffs...can t help it, guess tge brain got so used to hitting thr wild places at speed that its the norm, especially in Winter.

Anyone else hit this kind of age and suddenly done something totally crazy or something from the past.

Have to say...its good to be back at it..I feel ALIVE and plus this body needs whipping (ooh yes please )back into shape..why i have no clue, it just does

You’ll have lost some speed, but the endurance will come back. I have a friend (mid-late 50’s) who does Ultra Trail running, his speed has dropped a bit recently, but he still manages through sheer booody mindedness 😂😂

Speed is not really a major part, due to my terrain, all real break your neck stuff where every step has to be watched, pre assessed etc love it. My work has kept my endurance upto speed. And, as I said, tbh, whenever I ve hit tge wild areas my legs, with or without my permission naturally notch up the gears lolol. Feel like Forrest Gump..."run Ash, run.."
