I think it’s the worry that they will completely change their attitude towards you that worries most guys who haven’t fully come out to family and close friends

I always think it must be so helpful to have supportive family and friends who accept you for who you are and don’t judge you

My kids (all grown up, between 25 and 31) are all very sex-positive and LGBT friendly, but coming out to them (as bi, I'm never going to be 100% gay) still just seems like it'd embarrass them and be pointless and awkward unless I genuinely got into a full on relationship with a guy, which isn't happening any time soon, I'm happily married.

I once came out to a couple of close friends at work just as I was moving on from one job to another. They seemed very surprised and have not been in touch since I moved away. I think they were embarrassed. So I won’t be doing that again.
