I ran a syndicate at work for about 5 years, 23 members, we played the Euromillions and our biggest win over that time was about £70.

When I wound it down I started putting my money in premium bonds instead.

I won big on a scratchcard about 15 years ago. Not millions but what most people would consider a lot, but not enough to be life changing. Didn't go very far after a few big holidays, 2 new cars, some home improvements, and dumping a chunk into prem bonds and my pension. I wasn't a regular buyer of scratchcards, it was a fluke. I can't remember the last time I bought a scratchcard or played the lottery.

Branson should've got it years ago. Greedy Camelot increased the numbers and the prizes are mean. Getting 4 numbers but just £60 is crazy.

Also, giving a free go for a couple of numbers enables them to claim many more thousands are 'winners'
