After initial messages on here I’m inclined to offer to meet publicly for coffee or a beer in a pub, we would both know then if we’re going to click when naked together, it’s also less dramatic if one or the other says thanks but no thanks whilst we are still fully dressed lol

Yes sometimes it does. If I want a pleasant conversation id go down the pub. As said, it's a hookup site, so getting to the point early sets expectations.

I like to exchange a few messages to get an idea that we're going to get on ok. Perversely if we've got to know each other too well I'm almost reluctant to meet because after all the build up I'm worried I'll be a disappointment.

Having said which, I've had good meetings after long acquaintance as well as quickly arranged ones.
