Why block?

I've had two strange incidents recently.

I sent a message of good morning. Got a reply "obis bye". Trying to reply, only to find I was blocked.

Second one, been chatting to one, showing lots of promise, then he deleted his profile. He starts another profile, and I tried to send a message only to discover I'm blocked.

Why are people like this? Yes I've blocked people who won't take no for an answer but if I'm told thanks but not for me or not my type, I'll not contact again.

Is it me?

Same here, arranged to meet a guy last night, arranged a time and plan.. He said Goodnight.. And I'm now blocked today 🤷. why? Just tell me you've had second thoughts or something.

His loss!

Because 99% on here are arseholes mainly looking for wank material. Of the remaining 1%, 99% of those get cold feet as soon as a meet starts to materialise. We've all experienced the same issues. I've sent messages to guys who i've been chatting too only to end up with unread messages or getting blocked. Also had one recently who disappeared mid convo. Lol

Most of the time it doesn't bother me but it's the guys that send a derogatory or somewhat rude/abusive message and then block so you can't respond that annoy me it's pure cowardice.

If you're not what someone is looking for, then it's a great filter to get them out the listings when you are looking for someone.

Don't have any issue with it whatsoever.

No issues with being blocked mid conversation or after actually arranging times etc to meet? I'm pretty sure you'd be pissed about it too if that's happened.

I have had that. I got a horrible message from someone and, to be honest, it quite shocked me.

I replied asking if they had sent it by mistake as I hadn’t even viewed their profile let alone messaged them. I got more abuse back and blocked so I blocked them as well. Some people are just trolls 🧌.

Probably: it's often mentioned on profiles that receiving short, meaningless messages are a potential reason for blocking (even without checking out the profile)

It’s a mild annoyance. But I don’t give it much thought. People are strange.

Not massively no, everyone has their right to withdraw at any time. I'd just shrug it off and move on.

I’ve had a guy wink me, I’ve messaged him to say thanks for the wink, only to find that he’s blocked me. Weird!

I wonder if it's a sign of the times. More and more often, I hear, read and see outrageous behaviour - and this is in real life, let alone on an anonymous arena/channel like this one. I get the impression a lot of people feel so entitled and so within 'their rights' to offend others, in the name of their ill-conceived 'liberties' but those others have no right to feel offended, as it collides with 'freedom of speech'. It all seems to be about 'my rights'. Funny nobody ever talks about obligations and duty. Ok, where are my pills 💊? I need to lie down.... 🛋

Had a guy chat to me for a month or so, he was asking for a meet and then said he didn't like the thought of being my plaything.

A month and he had not read my profile to see what I was actually looking for. It was never going to happen and never will.

So I blocked. Move on.
