Have I blown it completely.

What now? I have an injured leg and cannot drive for sometime so unable to get to meets. I am reliant on my wife, of many years, to drive.

So I am in sexual purdah and have been on here a lot chatting to blokes exchanging experiences, pic and video and cam calls trying to qwell my urges. Before the injury I used to be able to meet up with and enjoy men relatively easily without giving the game away - or so I thought.

My wife ( no sex for last two years) has found my weakness out and, after a row, has not spoken to me all day. She is not liberal or broad minded.

Really not sure where this is going to end but it likely it is not going to be pleasant.

Anyone been in a similar situation? What happened?

Have you told her. You love her! And your meets with men have no emotional investment!

Or are you or your missus looking for a way out of your relationship?

I know its difficult but not insurmountable if you genuinely still love each other.

Having been in this very same situation I can attest it is a miserable period for all concerned. I understood and appreciated that my selfish actions lead to the situation - a loss of trust and confidence. I also had to admit I was going through a mental crisis having just lost my job in my late 50’s.

We were able to talk it through and explain that bi didn’t mean gay, that bi can co-exist happily in a straight relationship. She knows I talk to men but no intercourse is permitted.

We are possibly stronger after what we’re done very dark days indeed.

Wife knew I’d dabbled before we met - I was upfront from the get-go but I think she put it down to student enthusiasm and confusion.

Good luck but if you want to truly save your marriage ( rather than just hope to rebuild a business as usual situation you were happily bumbling along with until last month), you will need a lot more painful and honest conversations focussed on where you go from here.

I think the irony may have eluded you.

As for “Nothing to do with him personally”… cheating on a partner, let alone not being open about one’s sexuality with a spouse… these are choices the OP made. He’s not the unwitting victim of external factors. I say that not being a moral judge as I couldn’t care - but clearly the missus does - and the consequences of someone finding out in the worst way is what has happened above.

The volume of traffic to porn sites collapsed overnight when the age legislation came into effect. Maybe the authorities ought to consider the easy access to make relationships that would be unlikely to happen by chance at a pub or other public gathering place.

Many people on here would not suffer the collapse of long loving relationships, if there was more scrutiny of the impact all dating sites have on society.

As an openly gay man in my mid 50s, who knew they were gay in their teens, and has literally marched and campaigned and fought for the right to be who I am and have sex with men…

…I simply love being lectured and chastised by often closeted and often faceless bi men riding the coattails of those who’ve done the hard miles and made it easier for them to have acceptance and even sites like this.
