I've had both sides done. One side failed years after and needed done again, which is then a big operation. The pain after was seriously bad!.

Be ready for bruising…my ballsack was a very disturbing purple (plum) colour afterwards, sore of course & uncomfortable for 3/4 days, quit painkillers after that cocodamol made me feel very strange. After that took it easy & 4 weeks or so am pretty much back to normal.

21 weeks ago so hopefully its done now and you are fully recovered. Had mine done about 3 years ago thanks to a 4 to 5 year wait due to the Covid pandemic. At the last minute they decided to do it under a general anaesthetic for which I was grateful. Kept in hospital overnight. Virtually no pain until a week later. Had to go back to hospital for ultra-sounds but they said it was healing well and the pain stopped. Was given a 13 week healing period but just took things easy and no further problems.
