"I guess once they get into a room, they could refuse to leave? Maybe that's the reason they don't allow it.. Quite sad though! " I understand what you're saying but if the room had been paid for then they have no right to turn them away because of ehat they wear, what they look like and current position in life. To those hotel workers that sent them packing again (no pun intended) should be ashamed of themselves and hope you don't find yourself in that position in life also where you're lookijgmmng for somewhere warm whether ot's paid for you or not.

"Playing devil’s advocate, I imagine a hotel can turn away whoever they like as a business can choose who they serve or not, within the law. Whether that’s right or wrong is a different question." Not sure they can choose , remember the ruckus over the B&B and the Baker who refused to serve Gay men?

"Why did they see fit to video this, unless they anticipated being turned away? But what a bunch of heartless bastards. I hope they lose a load of bookings on the strength of this." According to the article on the BBC web site “ The incident, which was filmed by a charity volunteer and shared on social media”, so it wasn’t filmed by the homeless people, but by representatives of the organisation that had paid for the accommodation. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cqxy09yl7d9o.amp

"At no point in any response have I seen immigrants mentioned ?? " That’s right these aren’t necessarily immigrants, but even if they are sheer humanity trumps any political agenda

"Ragebait - to get people to rant on about hotel rooms for immigrants while we can't look after our own - blah, blah, blah" Really ???what would you do if you were unfortunate enough to be in their position and get turned away from a warm bed ???

Not sure they can choose , remember the ruckus over the B&B and the Baker who refused to serve Gay men? " That’s why I said within the law because some characteristics are legally protected like race, religion, sexuality etc. But outside of that, a business can choose if they want to serve you or not. Again, I’m not condoning anything. It was obviously heartless even if it was technically legal.
