I don't think it's even covid...these apps are often hailed for hookups. Watch any TV show and hookups are shown as quick and easy.

Tha majority of us are too fussy. With a tick box list of what we are looking for.

I think that's why in the gay community at least we have darkrooms and gloryholes. Cos as soon as you've found a wet and warm hole you don't really care as horniness takes over.

I have had less frequent meets post Covid that is for sure, however a lot of that is down to me, pre Covid my expectations of what I wanted from a meet were different, I'd pretty much take a punt on anyone with a cock, I'd meet for things like mutual wanking, blow job only type things and guys that won't kiss, post Covid I'm a lot more fussy about what is on offer, I have pretty much set in stone expectations, also I started going to a gay sauna regularly. I not saying my experience is typical but I would imagine Covid changed a lot peoples meeting habits post lifting of restrictions.

As for a lot of fantasists, there are a lot of those, some may just be using you as wank material, others I think just get scared when shit gets real and they are faced with the reality of actually having to go through with sex with a man, either way it's loads of messages back and forth then crickets.

Yeah, I'm single and can accommodate but that doesn't mean I can, or want to meet at short notice, that said anyone that has meet now in their status, or sends me a message just saying "meet now" is a bit of a red flag to me.
