Ask me

What fibre supplement does everyone take to make prep easier?

Leeds

I take Psyllium husk capsules, 2 a day. Get them reasonably priced off ebay.

I find the capsules easier than just the powder or fybogel type drinks.

Ground flaxseeds or chai seeds.

I use them for health and keeping clean and not to get constipated due to medications. However I'm a top.

Just re read your post. What do you mean prep easier? Preparation for anal or the prep medication?

"Chia seeds, psyllium husk, and I eat a few apples per day"

Then also get a lot of fibre in my meals, average around 40g per day

If you want to get all your fibre in one meal then have beans on toast for lunch

Aldi protein sourdough has 2g per slice, although you can find high fibre bread

Tin of beans will have 20g of fibre

Then have an apple

40g protein and 28g fibre

Inulin powder from Holland and barret or amazon. 1 spoon in morning coffee works a treat. Its made from soem kind or root, chicory I think. Tastes of nothing and even dissolves clear in water.

Ask me

Thank for the suggestions. Been on psyllium husk and ground flax seed for a long time but seems to have stopped being effective like my body has got used to it.

Make sure you’re drinking enough water too, so things don’t get clogged up

your body hasn't "got used to it"

not getting enough fluid intake when taking fibre supplements such as psyllium will cause constipation, if there is not enough moisture in your bowels it will clog you up

you need other 'wet ' sources of fibre such as from fruit & vegetables

if you treat supplements as a free pass to eating highly processed foods your supplementary fibre intake has no chance of countering the constipation effect of those unhealthy processed foods
