As a bottom its been over 20 years since my last experience - Will it hurt?

Thx in advance

Was diagnosed with same last year. No symptoms and it certainly doesn't hurt.

Only way to find out is to go for it. Just don't think about when he's slipping in.

Common. Discomfort for some but not others.

Take tamsulosin to reduce the size. PSA Levels will rise with anal stimulation. PSA stands for Prostate Specific Antigen

Have scans. If needed, may need biopsy to test whether it is cancerous.

Interesting post.... I've recently had a prostate biopsy procedure... I actually put my prostate story in a thread on here a while ago.... and I was told mine was enlarged slightly, nothing nasty going on though. I feel like it's affecting my libido though? Anyone else feel that way with similar conditions?

So an enlarged prostate can mostly indicate a drop in testosterone, you should discuss testosterone replacement treatment, NHS won’t fund it, you will have to go private , it’s basically a hormone replacement.

Thx in advance

I’ve just had surgery for BPH.

I underestimated the healing process. Taking too long!

I have had BPH for a number of years and have been taking Finasteride.

Curtsey of a search engine for what is does.

It blocks the action of the enzyme 5-alpha reductase, which normally converts testosterone into a more potent hormone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT).

DHT is the primary hormone responsible for the growth and enlargement of prostate cells.

By lowering DHT levels in the prostate, finasteride causes the gland to shrink.

So its not more Testosterone that you require.

But just ask your doctor.

Docs suggesting I go on meds but not sure, part of me thinks no n suck it n see..being ill of any form is a whole new ball game to me. 5 decades of just self sorted injuries but no illness and now a whole pile of checks n stuff as I m high risk for bleddy bowel cancer..fking big time with my mental health, which was major trauma before but this on top is pushing me over a dangerous edge

If it is enlarged but benign, like mine is, I don't think it makes a lot of difference. Makes you pee more often and the medication affects erections, but no pain as such.

Yep...floored my libido completely, hence not been on here much, along with dizzy bouts and muscle aches n cold..Tammy, on a personal front, is a bitch I have to be aware of as my job is faily high risk, so the coziness is fekkin inconvenient. But certainly my libido is gone..tis what it is.
