How long will Starmer last?

I reckon he's a goner by end of march. And for what it's worth Reeves either slightly before or after.

Andy Burnham is burnishing his crown.

Be a shame when people conclude he's a condescending twat with a stupid accent too. But I accept he might be slightly more relatable to people north of the M54, although people from Farageland will still hate him (much good being a bluff salt of the earth northerner did Angela Rayner eh?)

Really Starmer's entire problem comes down to loudly proclaiming his working class origins while sounding like a public schoolboy, albeit a less expensively educated one than Johnson.

Andy Burnham is now being positioned into place to take over, however it will be akin to replacing like with like.

"Really Starmer's entire problem comes down to loudly proclaiming his working class origins while sounding like a public schoolboy, albeit a less expensively educated one than Johnson."

I don't think "entire" is right. Being a nasal bore like John Major and a closet Blairite who employs old Blairites doesn't help.

And he talks complete cock -

" Walk into the morning, the sunlight of hope, pale at first but getting stronger through the day, shining once again, on a country with the opportunity after 14 years to get its future back. We said we would end the chaos and we will. We said we would turn the page and we have. Today we start the next chapter, begin the work of change, the mission of national renewal and start to rebuild our country."

(Keir Starmer on 5 July 2024, following his general election victory: Wikipedia)

Although the majority of people seem to agree his days are numbered there are various views as to when it will happen. I think things will accelerate rapidly in the next couple of months, especially in the event of yet more u turns on things like Id cards or business rates. It's getting to be a giant joke

No point getting Burnham, was useless in Blair era, dont rate him as a mayor and if he was to get in to no10 it would be more if the same.

Not sure anyone can turn this country around the way its going.

Honestly I think he'll do everything to not give up being PM. Even if he looses a general election he'll dispute the result or decide we won't have elections any more.

Stermer is going nowhere. I'm no fan. He's too right wing for me and his government position on trans people and the genocide disqualifies him as far as I'm concerned. But he's going nowhere. And even then if it came down to it I would still vote for a Labour candidate if it meant stopping Reform.

But I'd rather vote Green.

Sir y Fflint - Gogledd Cymru

Starmer's insipid, directionless, deceitful leadership is clearly in trouble, but I'd put money on him lasting till after the May local elections, when Labour is likely to receive some devastating broadside blows. If he fails to weather that storm and resigns, it's likely to be after that, maybe paving the way for a new leader before the Summer Recess.

Green Party councillor Sohail Asghar; as well as 2 others, was recently arrested over modern slavrey allegations and hes been suspended.

So the greens may well he cooked. You could always try the fruit and nut party.
