Has anyone else seen a lot of new guys as in joining this afternoon.

Young nice body nice cocks. And all want to chat off this site.

And when you ask questions they ghost you.

A Town near You!

The following message appears on all new profiles:

“If you see any problems with this new profile, please report it.”

If you feel that a profile is suspicious, please do exactly that.

I avoid any profiles less than 1hr old.

They often appear as newbies, but don't in mg closest 10 users. Tou message them too and it remains on unread.

Major scam indicator too is getting you off this site quickly.

But what's the scam? Serious question so please just be informative.

Moving a conversation off a dating app (or "SPP" - Secure Professional Platform/App) to messaging platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, or SMS is a prime red flag for a romance scam. Scammers do this to avoid detection by the app's security algorithms, which flag suspicious activity, and to build a more personal, isolating connection with the victim.

It's also a possible route towards enticement to obtain pics and videos from the mark, as a prelude to extortion.

This ties into my comment on the Ai forum, lots of bots and phising actors and whatever they think they are getting, it's allllll gonna backfire on them :D. Just be careful and trust your intuition, not all is as it seems, don't let them put you in fear because they are scavenging for harvest, though shall not pass, says gandalf;)

I’d suggest checking your Account Privacy settings and message settings.

Account Privacy - settings to stop non registered users viewing your profile and to stop search engines gathering details.

Message settings - look at the setting to prevent new accounts from contacting you (unless you have contacted them first).

Thank you for this. I wondered why when I accidentally put my username into the search engine instead of Fabguys my profile came up. Now added this privacy.

Some are returners and ask an old contact to verify them. But I agree, it looks a bit iffy

Relevance that has to anything? There’s several reasons someone might hide their profile

I was looking at a guy’s profile and looked at his photos. Along the time line, his pubes changed on each photo 🤭

Left that one alone.

Lots of clues on a guy’s post. Starts with decent spelling and grammar 😎

Its New Year so you will always get a lot of people in the mindset of looking fo love or a change.

...or you could just be getting a lot of catfish, which is kinda sad that people aren't comfortable enough to be themselves and are trying out the masked ball of the internet.

I had 5 local new profiles last night but they seemed genuine (i told one guy i was interested in to wait until I didnt get a new profile warming and come back to me)

Maybe fabguys has done some kind of promotional push (by that I mean gone round the local toilets and written the addy in the back of the cubicle doors).

To be fair with fab when I've reported profiles that turn out to be Russian or Ukraine asking for email address etc they've removed them pretty quickly.

" But what's the scam? Serious question so please just be informative. "

When they ask you to message them outside FabGuys, they can do all sorts of things:

- share your contact details with other people

- ask you for more personal information

- send you links that ask for your personal information

- send you links that ask login and password details

- send you an attachment that when opened sends a virus

- ask for money

- blackm4il you

Also they dont dare to put their face photos for fear of people identifying them. So sad they have to hide, reject themselves and live in perpetual anonymity and self imprisonment instead of being free and enjoying life.
