Have been converting a van and really enjoy using it, get a nice night's sleep and it's great for cruising.

Got a high top professional van conversion. It can go wherever an Amazon van can go. Ideal on country lanes. Added a privacy curtain to the cab so it can be used for impromptu stealth cruising. It has a proper kitchen full oven, sink, fridge and shower room within a 5.4 metre length. If you like to stay camping for long periods maybe a motorhome with wider body may suit but you wont be going shopping in it and find it more awkward on Cornwalls lanes. A good investment gives us an extra room to use at home and in recent minus 5c I left the diesel hwater on and it was 25c inside. This could be used as a regular second vehicle and is more practical than a VW .

I have a Pennine Pullman folding camper, so not the same as a van, but I do love getting away with it when I can.

I have an Eldiss based on a Fiat Ducato. It’s 2 years old now and is in regular use throughout the year with the next trip next week when it’s snowing. Sometimes I stay at regular campsites, sometimes at naturist venues, carparks, laybys and cruising places. Wouldn’t be without it.

I've got double bed, fridge, sink, gas oven and rings. Haven't done the shower yet but is powered by solar panel and is definitely a stealth camper.

I use to travel and stay away for work and pleasure.

I changed some radiators at home once, now my missus thinks I'm qualified to do a full van conversion into a luxury camper! Too much nagging has put me off campervans for life!

"I’d love one but the expense…. "

Exactly this !

Have looked several times at them

Must admit i would be a bit of a picky snob about it

Must have

Fixed double bed

Permanent shower with separate toilet

Separate kitchen area

And a comfortable lounge area as in not the fold down bed type come dining room table sort of thing!

And although they look like a dream to live in them American rv winibago things just way way to big !!

I’ve looked too - I’m happy with 2 single beds, but U shaped lounge and garage.
