I use a block as a filter for those I'm incompatible with. I also block if an unsuccessful attempt at contact. Rarely anything bad...just a highly curated list.

7. I only block if I find something completely repellant about their profile or they're persistent messagers who don't pick up the lack of replies as a clue that I'm not interested.

I suspect I'm on many more people's block lists due to being on of those militant bisexual lingerie wearers who don't belong on a true gay man website
