Sharks are just culling the overpopulation of the species that is damaging their environment and challenging their existence. It’s the law of nature.

They meet way down deep and spread the news: "Yeah, they're great, honest: no tusks, no spines, no scales, no venom ... just soft, pink and tasty."

I have a long standing agreement with the sharks. I don’t go in there and bother them and they don’t come out here and bother me.

If only. Killer whales would do a great job. They attack yaughts in the Med.

Stop the boats. Whales are intelligent. They could easily be trained for the mission

Well they don't have arms, so they don't where watches - otherwise they would have spread it out a bit more - gone a bit more incognito and drawn less attention to themselves

Why don't you go there yourself and report back from the scene of the incidents. Maybe interview a few sharks. Get both sides of the story.

Caistor or thereabouts. Or hereabouts

Stay the fuck out of their environment and then you won't get chomped on. Purely logical. It is the equivalent of the sharks coming into the supermarket and screaming "Oomans!!! Kill them!!"

More right to exist in the sea than us

South Durham

Over one hundred million sharks are killed by humans per year. Mostly drowned after their fins are severed for soup.

When you enter the ocean, you're entering into an unwritten contract, you're accepting that you're no longer at the top of the food chain. If you're not happy with that, stay on shore, sit under a palm tree (if they're in the area you're in) and sip an ice tea. Bear in mind though, more people are killed by falling coconuts every year than by shark attack.

Sharks reached the zenith of their evolution when dinosaurs roamed the earth. They're completely at one with their environment, sleek graceful and beautiful. They perform a service to the ocean and the creatures that live there, removing the dead, dying, diseased and weak. They are apex predators and deserve respect and protection from knee jerk reactions to encounters that the human came off second best.

5 years anniversary last month, the transition period ended on 31 December 2020

The referendum itself was not yet a decade ago, funny how Brexiteers want it banished into the realms of history, regret perhaps

What a stupid post. Surely if you go in the sea your at risk of being stung/bitten/eaten by anything that resides in the sea? Maybe the sharks are getting fucked off by what we pay water rates, and they still dump billions of gallons of human shit, sanitary towels and bog roll into the UK waterways as standard 🤷

A place where sheep are warm, or Burnley.

Shark bites person in water, jellyfish stings person in water, lionfish sticks spines in person in water, haddock tastes French to person not in water.. fuck these fish, put them in a boat and send them back to where they came from (and other such nonsensical twaddle that you spout out)

Then there's the saltwater crocs .... Pretty much everything in Australia will either bite or sting you.

Never seen an Aboriginal on a surfboard ... they must think the whiteman is crazy to play in shark-infested water.

FFS, LEAVE SHARKS ALONE! They are beautiful creatures, essential the the stability of the world's Oceans.

Most shark "attacks" are down to human stupidity. I have been up close and personal with 3 metre Oceanic Whitetips, first cousins to Great Whites, I have been in the water with Hammerheads, Threshers, Tiger, Bull and many others. I still have all my bits intact.

More people are killed by dogs in a week than Sharks in a decade. Forget Jaws, it was a hammy movie and learn to appreciate what we've got!
