When putting on jeans or trousers do you button then do the fly or do the fly then button?

And which sock first left or right?

And yes the flu can be zips, buttons or any other kind of fasteners you've come across.

Definitely button then fly.

About the socks, I started to think about it too much and don’t know if I have a definite order.

The fly on a garment, any garment, is a cover for the closure. Not the top button on shorts or trousers.

I have a couple of shirts with a fly front.

Button then zip, or buttons from bottom upwards. Either foot for socks but I always put left foot first into trousers. I always put my right shoe on 1st, and take off the left 1st.

Button, button, button, button, unless I leave some buttons open for ventilation. Socks and shoes usually left foot first.

Zip them button I think, but sock depends on how much pain I’m in and on which side

Well I would think that logically on Jeans or trousers, doing the button at the top first puts less strain on the zip when pulling it up, making it last longer (especially if the garment is tight fitting 😉).

I agree - the fly is the covering flap of fabric, not the top button.

FYI I fasten top button first then lower buttons or zip. I prefer buttons so I can leave one or two lower buttons undone as a hint that I might be interested in a bit of play.

It's lighthearted chat and banter, makes a change from sex talk etc. Not interested, dont read or post.

I didn't know that. Always thought it was the opening itself.
