My main scare is that 1 day I could end up in a care facility. Really scares the shit out of me. Want to remain as independent as possible.

Well my late Father managed to make it just past 95 without going into a care home. He used to say, I’m not going into no hospital, or home they are carrying me out of here feet first - he got his own way.

He was very independent and had a daily routine and kept himself going.

Keep busy, get several active and mind stretching hobbies, eat healthy, walk lots every single day, stay a healthy weight, get your house future proof now, tell your family and friends what you want to happen. Medical science means we're living far too long with very poor quality of life.

Eat well, treats in moderation. Don't become a couch potato on retiring, have hobbies and cook from scratch with your extra time. Plenty of exercise and good night's sleep.

Seems encouraging healthy living is almost contradictory here when a neighbouring forum is titled "Most loads of cum in your ass"

If thats the thing that keeps someone feeling young and energised, dont knock it. It would be a fantastic cardio workout if nothing else 😆
