Apart from the obvious, that is, Bambi losing his mother and in my case, the witch in Snow white, what was the first shocker in a film that haunted you for a while after?

I think mine was the chainsaw / Columbians scene in Scarface.

The witch was actually the evil queen.

(before someone has a go at me for inaccuracies).

Jaws for me. That scene where the fella slides down the deck into the sharks mouth.

Gets chomped in 2 and blood and guts spurt from his mouth.

I had nightmares for weeks after that. Can still remember me Mam sliding into my bed alongside me to soothe me.

I miss my Mam. 💕

The back 3/4 of Dusk til Dawn.

I tuned in on TV not knowing it was a vampire film. Thought it was another bank robber film.

How wrong I was!
