Yeah, back in the 80s/90s it was popular place for gay men to go, young Tunisian rent boys used to cruise Sousse promenade looking for 'customers' I actually had a holiday fling with an English guy staying at the same hotel as me and no-one batted an eyelid, not sure how safe it is not for gay men/couples.
