What's on the menu today?

I'm making a low carb pizza with cauliflower base.

Harissa baked heritage lamb steaks, whatever they are. With sweet potatoes. Partner sends the recipe, I buy the stuff, we cook it together.

It's arguable that you could describe such a thing as pizza.

"Small piece of pork fillet roasted with cherry tomatoes and shallotts, and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar."

Shallots are magic, I only really got into them the other week while making a peppercorn sauce recipe for steaks. They're like the missing link between onions and garlic. Will be using them a lot more now.

That is exactly what I thought when I first had them in a Beuf Bourgingnon ... before that I only thought they were used for pickling.

Went out for lunch. Had baked cod on mashed baby potatoes with broccoli and carrots followed by apple and berry crumble with custard (well, on the menu it said creme anglais but it was delicious custard regardless). All very good indeed made even better by being served by a young waiter who was excellent and extremely easy on the eye and wore tight black trousers. He received a generous tip.

My harissa lamb was fucking brilliant. The sauce was so good I had seconds even though I'd already polished off the lamb (it contained chickpeas so still protein content and I'd honestly have enjoyed it all even without the meat)
