"What's on the menu today? I'm making a low carb pizza with cauliflower base." It's arguable that you could describe such a thing as pizza.

"Small piece of pork fillet roasted with cherry tomatoes and shallotts, and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar." Shallots are magic, I only really got into them the other week while making a peppercorn sauce recipe for steaks. They're like the missing link between onions and garlic. Will be using them a lot more now.

"Went out for lunch. Had baked cod on mashed baby potatoes with broccoli and carrots followed by apple and berry crumble with custard (well, on the menu it said creme anglais but it was delicious custard regardless). All very good indeed made even better by being served by a young waiter who was excellent and extremely easy on the eye and wore tight black trousers. He received a generous tip." Just the tip
