Sometimes there'll be an actual intelligent piece of programming on R4 that I need to hear to the end before PM starts.

Currently a little obsessed with The Briefing Room with David Aaronovitch that runs a bit earlier. The best discussion programme on the real politics that matters by far.

If I want to listen to something on the radio I do. But I live alone so don’t need the peace.

Calculated one

(Been married myself in the past ... Well aware of the intentionally slow drive/walk home)

I ve lived homeless half my life, cut off completely from everyone and so I need such times, no matter how much I may love or want to be with the person I m with, I equally need my time alone, even though I work alone. Often I need silence, to watch grass blowing or watch nothing at all. My time like this, isn t about the person at home, its the house and all its "noise" such as tv, fridges etc, so yeah, I do this a lot
