Although hes resigned from Labour Party as far as I am aware he hasn’t resigned from the House of Lords so still getting tax payer funded salary and expenses. Still has input into the way the country is governed and laws implemented. Hes the ultimate survivor. How many scandals and cover ups has he been involved in over the years and always manages to slither his way out of it.

If it is such a lengthy & expensive process, then we have to know why? In my many jobs over the years , a ‘hand in the Till’ type offence was a feet don’t touch the ground lucky we aren’t prosecuting exit. Why would it be any different for an unelected, job for the boys, feeding trough elevated status type ‘job’?

Precisely - They all play their pre-written parts, and pretend to fight each other, ... then when the crowd goes home, having booed and cheered their little lungs out, and the lights dim, they all hang out together as friends, arm in arm ... cashing big fat cheques for their faithful services.

It's stage managed theatre and the wool is kept permanently over the audience's eyes.

The problem for the Government is this leads straight back to Starmer and the question of why Mandelson, who was in the process of becoming yesterday's politician, was brought back in from the cold and packed off to the States ? Why is Starmer's judgement so appalling that this vile creature was thought suitable? .( us plebs may not have known what the full extent of Mandy's crimes amounted to, but you can bet your bottom dollar that the Snakes In The Know who slither through the Palace of Westminster had a fair idea .....).....

I wouldn't be looking for Blair in connection with sexual romps, but via his employment by JP Morgan Bank and his close association with Jamie Dimon, the then CEO. This article covers some of what is already known.

Work/Play in London, live in Kent

A 2014 Act allows life peers to retire or resign, a right not previously available to them.

Peers who don't attend for a full session (over six months) can cease to be members.

Peers can be expelled or suspended for serious misconduct, following recommendations from the Conduct Committee.

A custodial sentence of a year or more can lead to expulsion.

One can also take a leave of absence. Mandy has already done so - as you cannot be a civil servant and an active member. He became a civil servant when he became the ambassador.

While some above have complained about his salary and his expenses, neither are tried. Lords don’t get a salary and while they get heavy expenses and allowance this is only if they attend and he dissent owing to that leave.

But he could revert his leave tomorrow and become eligible to sit and draw expenses.

Only two Lords have been ventured but both resigned rather than wait to be expelled.

Reform of the Lords is vital to prevent him or others who are unsavoury or criminal or similar. And for so many other reasons.

Edinburgh

This scandal has come from left field, an unexpected gem from the Epstein Files.

The question now is: how much more confidential information was passed on by Mandelson, to Epstein and therefore to others in the US banking/finance sector, when he was Business Secretary and in other senior government roles?

Going on from that, as Epstein was, like Maxwell, an agent for Israel, how much kompromat has been used to influence the decisions of successive US presidents?

So much more scandal to come out from the Epstein files.

In terms of judgement, who proposed the prince of darkness for a peerage? Gordon Brown.

And, long after the Epstein files, there's this:

"Peter Mandelson reportedly steered through the "strategic partnership" between the MoD and Palantir Technologies last September. The firm was founded by Peter Thiel, one of the US president's most loyal tech-bro backers.

The deal was not subject to competitive tender and has raised serious questions about how the contract was awarded to the firm, the investigation alleges. Lord Mandelson, who served as Business Secretary under Tony Blair and Gordon Brown, had temporarily stepped down from his firm Global Counsel - which counts Palantir as a client - before being sacked as UK ambassador to the US last September after revelations emerged about his friendship with the convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein".....

Parts 1 and 3 are linked on the page, but this contains the meat.

We will see. Not looking good for him and his own MPs are grumbling. Rather ironical really. Mandelson was the architect of New Labour and made Labour electable after 18 years in the wilderness. Blair was the front-man because Mandy was hardly a popular figure. Now we have Starmer. Still essentially New Labour, after the Corbyn fiasco, but he is a pale imitation of Blair. Could be a case of what Mandelson created could also be destroyed by him.

Despite recent interest in some window dressing if socialist policies they have so badly queried the pitch no one with any genuine interest in a left of center party would risk being tainted by them.

Burnham should have defected to the greens but I'm sorting if glad he didn't like Rory steward he has great surface credentials but a strong whiff of sulphur about him.

Probably correct. Senior Law lecturer Dr Tom Frost:

“Between 2014 and 2024, 191 people were convicted of misconduct in public office. 92% of those convicted were prison officers or police officers. 98% were junior to mid-level public officials. Only four convictions were secured of people in senior positions. Receiving a bribe as a police officer satisfies the offence; leaking governmental documents, even if confidential, is harder to show that it meets the offence's requirements...."

Rayner already has her own financial scandal hanging over her so she's out the picture.

It'll be Sillyband.

What I'm wondering is why did Peter Mandelson continue to stay friends with Epstein even after he was found guilty? 🤔 And why did Starmer still make him ambassador when he knew he was good friends with a n0nce? 🤔

To be fair Sillyband will be an improvement on Starmer. I would say he's honest and I doubt there's any sleaze on him. Just my opinion on him, he's crazy about the green stuff though and will cause problems with that but definitely an improvement on Starmer.

Keir Starmer's acceptance speech outside Downing Street -

"You have given us a clear mandate and we will use it to deliver change, to restore service and respect to politics, end the era of noisy performance, tread more lightly on your lives and unite our country"

Never have a man's words held him so sausage to fortune

"…Rayner already has her own financial scandal hanging over her so she's out the picture…"

This is the Labour Party we’re talking about, dear. None of them are very good with money. Shameless financial imbroglios don’t hold you back. You can become an Ambassador and everything.

Shame they can’t get Ed Balls back! An intelligent guy (Harvard professor?), a scrapper and a Strictly hero.

"Shame they rescinded the death penalty for treason. Guess theyll just have to make do with places in a cosy open prison somewhere instead.

Nothing will happen to anyone in the Epstein files "

Epstein, the Jeffries and Maxwell women might dissagree with you on that score!

"Wasn’t the King a good buddy of Jimmy Saville ? "

A lot of people were taken in by the odious Savile. Let's face it he was a popular television presenter for many years and no one suspected what he was really like.

Bye the bye, I hope our secret services take a good long look at Global Counsel, Petey's very lucrative lobbying and influence-peddling firm. Petey's partner in the firm, Ben Wegg-Prosser, had Russian business connections, and for a while after its formation GC was reportedly concentrating on FSU interests. Wegg-Prosser's stepped down from GC now - reputational damage by association, doncha know.

Not at all. They will have met due to Saville's charity work but nothing more than that.

No, as with Charles she would have met him because of the charity stuff but they certainly weren't friends.

Hardly a Mastermind either ... Mid-Witted at best.

As his appearance on Celebrity Mastermind proves

[13 points total .... Scored 5 in the General Knowledge section]

Fuck knows how he got a place in Harvard ... But we all know why he's in the cabinet.

Miliband will take the soon-to-be vacated hot seat, still disturbingly peppery from the eternally clenched buttocks of slippery Starmer.

And may God have mercy on us all!
