Interested to see if anyone else on here has made some solid friendships. I have a couple of fellas I met on here that I consider good friends now. I have sung Mozart's Requiem in a church with one, been to see wonderful performance art with another, among other tings. How rare is this I wonder? Answers on a postcard please.

Four I’d consider friends

One of them I see quite often throughout the week, even if sex isn’t always involved

Another we get coffee a couple times per week and have done some days out with, chat a lot through messages all day too

The other two are mainly just WhatsApp chats throughout the day, and occasionally catch up over a coffee or some fun

A useful small handful.

Some were fuckbuds that have become good friends and sex is now secondary or has ceased.

A few have not been initially sexual anyway (like yours truly).

And there is a handful of men here whom I haven’t met yet but have engaged with online for so long that when we do ever meet it will be as solid friends.

More acquaintances for myself. In public is about respecting guy's real lives and many are married or in positions where it would just mess things up, but it can definitely be done. I've got contacts from around the world but once you're your own best friend, everything else is just fun

I have 2 close friends on here neither involve sexual relationships though and I think that’s why the friendship has lasted.

One guy met up and both realized immediately no real chemistry sexually but we did have things in common. Other guy started as sexual but as the friendship grew the sex together faded.

It feels quite sad how a lot of people are describing people they have sex with. Not having any closeness to people you have sex with feels very strange - not saying that I become best friends with random hook ups, but if it's regular id probably consider them to be a friend.

I've never had a FB convert to a good friend, but ive got friends who've become fwbs. Theres a FB i'd go the pub with, and do, but i wouldn't say we are friends - its all just part of the mating dance we do. I do tend to view all male acquaintance as potentially sex partners, so I'd say i am open minded.
