Not so sure about that. Starmer's coat is on a shakey nail already.

I think he did the right thing politically and tried to distance himself from the unpopular Mr Starmer whether it prevents the Labour vote haemorrhaging remains to be seen

Perhaps his name should be spelt Anus Sarwar.

Unfortunately few of his colleagues stepped up to the plate to back him up so ultimately it may end up backfiring on him.

Plus how can he work with Alexander in the election lead up after what he said about Sarwar today!

Of course, Starmer is a lame-duck ..... But Anas Sarwar isn't exactly chiming harmoniously with the Scottish electorate himself, is he.

They both have issues when it comes to connecting with the people they try to hoodwink into supporting them .... Their inauthenticity & duplicity speak far louder than the well-practiced honeyed words that drool from their lying lips.

Sewar is better suited to Corbyn's 'Your Party' .... or the Greens.

Or better still, form a breakaway alliance with Humza Yousaf.

I suspect Anas Sarwar has a more negative effect on support for Labour in Scotland than Keir Starmer The best result for Labour would be for Sarwar to lose HIS leadership position

More that I was taking it as my cue to go to bed rather than read your overnight racist bollocks.

But I'm sure I'll be unlucky enough at some point to catch your daytime racist bollocks instead.

Yes I agree, I think Sarwar has well and truly crapped in his own nest.

I think Sarwar took a huge gamble yesterday and shot himself in the foot. May have even helped Labour MPs make their minds up to rally behind Starmer out of disgust at this nonentity's outburst.

Duplicity and disloyalty are par for the course for Sarwar, IMO.

He's either a rat leaving a sinking ship or the boy that pointed out the emperor has no clothes.

The opinion polls show Scottish Labour being dragged down by association with Westminster Labour under Starmer's leadership.

Sarwar is possibly in a better position to be one of the first to pull the trigger, given he's part of a semi-autonomous Labour group and away from Westminster.

We live in interesting times.

Anas Sarwar is an upper class twit and a class hater. He sends his kids to a snobby private school because he doesn't want them mixing with working class children

How any working class Scot with children or grandchildren can vote for that is beyond me.

Sarwar doesn't care two hoots about Scotland or the Scottish people, it's clear that his focus is on saving his own neck so that he can satisfy his greed for political power and further personal wealth. As the Labour Party sinks ever further into the sordid, muddy mire, Sarwar decided to stab his "friend" Starmer in the back, but he picked up the wrong weapon in panic and shot himself in the foot!!!

Sarwar has proven himself to be an Anti-White racist, and a terrible leader....

However, he is absolutely right about Starmer.

As long as this doesn't give the SNP a mandate for another independence vote, or we are really f*****.

"As long as this doesn't give the SNP a mandate for another independence vote, or we are really f*****."

Sadly, I fear that is exactly what Sarwar has done with his ill-planned tactic, it will most certainly rebound on the Scottish Labour Party, instead of making a public announcement to boost his own ego, a decent and professional politician would have expressed his displeasure with Starmer directly in a face-to-face meeting and in private, his actions just highlight his despicable character, as well as a change of a national Labour Party leader, it's clear that the leadership in Scotland is as equally dire and in need of a new leader, hopefully the wise folks of Scotland can see through this snake in the grass!

He may come out in a stronger position; portrayed as defying, the very unpopular, Starmer and asserting his own independence from Westminster Labour.

Anas Sawar may have blown his chances of being elected first minister with this ill advised poke at the PM.

It is hard to see what he was going to gain from it and now he just looks disloyal to the national party, which is not a good look whether you support the UK government or not.

Sawar's support from within his own party will now be damaged and for what ?

Can you imagine the nightmare of London Labour ruling Scotland ? The government would go back to its old name of the Scottish Executive and we would just be a region in Labour's eyes.

The McChicken coup ... That failed miserably when no one else answered Sarwar's call to prayer, ... sorry, I meant 'call to action'.

He should have stuck to dentistry.

[I wonder if he's feeling a slight prick right now?]

Wonder if Sarwar will be willing to prop up the SNP government when they emerge the largest party but well short of a majority?

Amazing how this is a "nail in the coffin for starmer"

When the story is really about sleaze and back room deals facilitated for the rich and powerful.

Mandy was an ass kissing sycophant and sent to NY because he might crawl up Trumps ass usefully. They were similar amoral animals.

The scandal is how often others in previous govt. Were involved, and what contracts should now be reviewed and considered for bribery and undue influence.

Lots of noise about Starmer, not a peep about rescinding contracts or banning suppliers or wider investigation of acts of national treachery?
