In a world of my own

Look for a cardio charity gym buddy, there may be such in the Bristol area?

These gyms, often offer memberships to non-clinical people, at very reasonable cost, and offer guidance and training.

I go to one locally here in the Midlands, continued as a gym member after my clinical period.

JD gym offer great facilities and great monthly pricing. Those a look what could be near you.

But that said, weight loss really does start in the kitchen.

Eat less-move more.

You can exercise 7 days week BUT if you’re consuming too many calories, the weight will not move (down)

To work out your calories then go on a TDEE calculator, https://www.calculator.net/tdee-calculator.html, fill it out and it will

Show you the deficit you need to be on

You can use an app called myfitnesspal which is free, just skip the premium offer. You can input your food etc and track your intake.

Stop eating carbs to lose weight. Lift weights to tone and build muscles. Use cardio for general fitness. Can't outrun a bad diet, 90% achieved in the kitchen.

Swap processed carbohydrates to fruit and vegetables, trans fats to healthy fats and natural ptotein. Lower and get rid of processed sugars, you can make smoothies from real veg and fruit, learn your macros depending on your weight and activity levels and don't starve yourself, you can create food volume by shredding natural foods to keep hunger at bay. Fasting in the morning is ideal to do physical activity on and get the nervous system revving up. Herbs spices and salts like celtic salt are ideal for flavorings to stop food boredom and learn act as electrolytes the benefits of what you use, some can negatively effect medication if you are on them. Arnold used to call anything processed, white death for the body's conversion of short chain trygicorides and plenty of water, even herbal teas . Good luck on your quest

You don’t need to stop eating carbs, that’s just a quick way to stop enjoying food

All you need is a calorie deficit

See research called: The Twinkie Diet, a professor only ate ultra processed foods and snacks like twinkies, Doritos, etc. and still lost 27lbs in 10 weeks

Because he was in a calorie deficit

If you want to build muscle then you need to focus on macros, and carbs are important for the gym.

Get 0.7-1g of protein per pound of body weight, and then fill the rest of the calories with carbs and fats

Very low carb diets allow your body to metabolise body-fat and break out of glucose/insulin spikes and troughs. Losing fat by reducing carbs this way doesn't induce slowing of the metabolism, crippling tiredness and hunger that comes with simple caloric restriction.

Dietary/metabolic science has moved on.

Just try going for a walk, doesn’t cost anything, and you can build up gradually to suit you. I did it by doing laps of the car park where I live, gradually built up (count your steps) did it several times a day an brought my weight down quite a bit.

Sometimes you cant fight the genetics your born with. Yes you can calorie count, yes you can exercise, but even that doesnt work for many people.

Cut the booze

Loads of green veg

Cut the snacks

Some exercise a few times a week.

Secret is to keep it going think 12 months not 12 weeks.

I have a tendency to try and "change my life!"

3 weeks later yes I'm a half stone lighter but I'm injured and fed up with it.

Check out the body coach on YouTube. He does good 20 min workout vids. Can be done at home with no equipment and you can make it as easy or hard as you push yourself.

Was a massive hit through lockdown

25,000 steps a day 5 days a with a minimum of 10,000 on Saturday. I drink G&Ts with slimline. You don’t need gyms unless you wanna bulk up. I do everything in my front room & garage. Strengthen your core and everything will fall into place.

Inverted sit ups.

Russian twist.

Crunches.

I’m 28/30 inch waist & shredded. Obviously I’m a trannie and don’t advertise the fact I have a 6 pack but I have pics on here in guy & girl mode lol

Bottom line is a good diet and regular exercise work in tandem don’t just rely on one. Good luck 👍🏼

I suppose, taking the long view, let’s not be to fixated on a gym body - I play two games of squash every morning and do 100 press ups- I’m only 62 kg and very slim. I’m here to enjoy my life - and be happy
