Yes, finished the series Saturday night, I'd love to see a sequal made, I know William Golding didn't write one, but it was set in the Fifties, surely evil Jack and murdering Roger would not just have got off Scot Free back then?

Lol! There was defia gay subtext between Simon and Jack, can't remember if that existed in the 1963 film or the 1990 Hollywood film, but I doubt it!

I actually think that Simon was portrayed as gay in this adaptation, I expect the BBC may get complaints over this.

Well the main point is what happens when the traditional rules of law and order disappear and the boys have to make their own up, so there was no discipline or anything to stop them getting off scot-free.
