Ever since I first started to have sex I've rarely been able to get it up first time I have sex with a man, unless d*unk or in a sauna where you can hardly see anyone and the sexual energy is so charged up. Until recently I thought I had performance anxiety, but I now know that I just need to have a connection with someone to get turned on. It's affected me a lot and I've messed guys around because of my confidence issues. Any one else recently discovered their demisexuality, or known for a while?

I'm not a demisexual but do need an attraction to a guy to have sex, I'm not a "it's a hole"type.

I've met guys who online seemed compatible, but meeting them something just didn’t click, so I politely abandon the meet.

Yeah I am and it can be a struggle both for dating apps and meet-ups.

Random hookups can but a bit off putting if you’re Demi as there’s no initial sexual attraction.

It’s usually why I prefer meeting with a regular FB as you build up that emotional connection which then makes the physical side a lot more enjoyable!

A good analogy is imagine you went to a new 5 star restaurant but you’d lost your sense of taste and smell.

You could still go through the motions of eating the food but you wouldn’t enjoy it nearly as much!

Never realised there was a term for but, yes. There has to be some sort of connection which is why I always insist on an innocent f2f meet in a public place as a first contact.

No obligation or commitment either way. If both like what they see and feel there’s something then a proper meet can be arranged.

Generally I like some conversation before even arranging a vanilla meet, and to see real pics. Sometimes that means things go off the boil if one or the other can't hold their end of the conversation up and that's OK. As _3vers said, there needs to be attraction; I simply don't understand the anything will do if it's willing mindset.

Succinct and in which I’m in full agreement.

I need to be attracted to a man physically and want to establish a connection.

Demisexual really means establishing quite a deep emotional bond in order for the sex to happen. I don’t need that. But I can’t do unseen, anonymous, wordless, a hole is a hole and a cock is a cock stuff.

But horses for courses. Some men love the idea of a faceless, hooded, unspeaking, anonymous man on all 4s and zero interaction - just a hole.
