I’m a 54 yr guy finally coming to terms with being gay. Obviously life is complicated but I’ve got to the point of looking to navigate my way through coming out. I was wondering if there were any helpful stories, experiences similar guys could share, particularly interested about those who might have come out from a marriage later in life x

Not sure if this helps but I'm 73 now always enjoyed sex with men. My wife and I stopped having sex a long time ago, she knew I had had bi fun in tne past, so about 10 years ago I told her I would like to have sex with men she was fine with it. Now I only want men and we both accept I'm gay. I know I am lucky to have an understanding wife.

I didn't start meeting men until I was 62, had been married 3 times, but had always been bi. Only a few people knew I was seeing men, mostly other gay and bi guys, so I kept it a secret from family. Then I met someone I really liked, and after some time decided to tell my family and friends that I was bi/gay. They just accepted it, no issues, and anyone that hasn't isn't worth worrying over. People are more tolerant than you think.

I came out late, l just felt it was time & didn't want to keep hiding. I told my my Dad on Xmas day, wasn't easy but felt better about admitting it, my Dad was fine about it, probably one of the best things l did, understand it's not for everyone but l can be who l am now x
