Watford & Worth Matravers

Where have been or do you go for total relaxation and peace? Places where worry and stress melt away. For me is Studland beach and Hengistbury head on a summer day, Luxor in Egypt when it's 40 degrees or more, or my garden at sunrise.

I've an IKEA high backed chair. Fresh coffee. ☕️ Country music playing on my new DAB radio. I've an oil heater for a little warmth.

I sit out there for hours just enjoying my garden.

The far northern Highlands (for me the Highlands only start at Fort William, and the farther north you go the better it gets).

Torridon, Assynt, Coigach, Reay, and farther east the Flow Country. It's not as quiet and secret as it was before the NC500 got popular but it's still the finest landscape in the British Isles, although some parts or Ireland run it close.

I’d rather not see Manchester or Liverpool, especially not on a clear day. I prefer to see the Isle of Man from the Cumbrian fells.

I've just been sitting on the beach at Hammamet, soft sand , gentle breeze ,hot sun , at least for me , most of the locals were wearing coats while I was in a tee shirt ,it was pretty near to perfect.
