Been reading about ADHD/spectrum disorders and specifically dopamine regulation issues.

I came across the concept

"external curated triggers" and specifically accountability check-ins.

These are three minute judgement free acessment a of how you have done that day against the goals you declared in am and the challenges the day brought you.

Anyone else think, as one of many mechanisms , this might be useful?

I have ADHD and Autism, honestly, procrastination is one of my biggest issues. I will struggle to do anything no matter how urgent it might be but then I will have a period of hyper focus and get all my work done in no time at all. There is no middle ground for me, nothing gets done or it all gets done at once.

There comes a point where doing a superman overnight before deadline is no longer viable.

Looking for people who want to try and learn different habits.

I meant to get back to this ....

So funny, all of you!

More seriously, for the morning wankers who haven't got out of bed by 12, those who can't focus for more than two minutes , those who need to relearn the basics of being a functional adult, and just chatty easily distracted folks out there -

I'm looking to set up a closed morning call session to get us out of bed and provide some sort of purpose to help get the day started.

I'm looking at stuff I see people doing comming from AA sessions and thinking - "this is good stuff for anyone!"

Message me. I'm thinking a chat room on Kik or telegram to start with and everyone makes at least three posts before 7am.

What I did.

what I'm doing.

how I feel/do I want to talk.

If we get on we can switch to cam

I'm not counseling I'm being a pal. No need for certification any more than there is when making a friend at a pool club or darts team. Perhaps even less so.

I use the Pomodoro technique. 🍅

Apps and timers for it.

Love the 1/2 hour where its a 25min break and 5mins of focus.

Pomodoro helps certainly but for me at least it's a partial mechanism I need more than just the timer.
