Which is a restrictive term anyway but it's the only one we have on here, so at risk of igniting a few flames here we go:

Is it the clothes themselves that you object to, or the way that many (not all) crossdressers/transvestites/whatever assume a mantle of femininity, act gurly and want to be addressed as women?

All of the above. Im queer because i like men in male mode.

Not against guys who dress, each to their own.

Aesthetically it's just unattractive to me.

I've never seen a cross dresser I'm attracted to, and as a bi guy a man in female clothing is no match for a well put together woman.

But having spoken to alot of xd and TVs I'm more aware of why they do it and in many cases it's not about looking feminine it's the thrill of the act

And more power to the guys who do it, they're are plenty who do appreciate it.

Have never found anyone cross dressed attractive. Very few look good to my eyes and I certainly don't see them as being desireable. I am seeking a man, who looks like a man and happens to like some cock fun. Give me a man in a dress suit any day.

Every single aspect is a boner killer for me. Its the way my brain is wired and i dont know why, but it is not and has never been a problem for me. I know most people who dress are generally lovely people, and im happy they have their thing, and im happy others sexually want them how they like to present. Sexually, its just not for me. Theres enough of all sorts to go round us all. I even struggle to be sexually charged with men who i know just dabble.

Lingerie is made exclusively for the beauty of the female "human with a vagina not a man who has bollocks" so for that reason a man will always look daft wearing clothing that's not for them.

See, in some ways I find the motives of the guys who like convincing, petite dressers more suspect than those who find it a complete turnoff.

I don't have a problem with those for whom it's a turnoff because they're being honest about their likes and dislikes (albeit more bluntly than is comfortable sometimes).

But the guys who seem to want a facsimile of a woman, maybe just with a male sex drive, that doesn't sit well with me. What do you do when this fantasy being confronts you with an erect cock? Still convince yourself you're not gay or at least most of the way there?

While it's certainly aimed at the female market, whether that be just to attract and arouse straight men, or to empower women themselves by feeling sexy and hot for their own reasons, I don't buy into the idea it's "just for women".

Personally I find most conventional high street male underwear stupidly boring and revel in the fabrics and cuts of those items designed to look and feel sensuous for women. Lace, satin, sheer mesh; even PVC/leather which does have a following in the hardcore male gay fetish scene.

Personally speaking CDs TVs or guys in womens knickers etc don't appeal to me whatsoever.

I enjoy a guy who's masculin in a non obnoxious way. Man on Man.

But we are free to choose what we wear and how we behave.

I’m wondering if these are the people who profess that they are “straight”, but they like cock. It could be that if they go with TV’s as it makes it easier to lie to themselves because to them they see it as a woman with a cock.

As above I'm only into men. In male "mode". I love women, and have some great female mentors and friends in my life, but sexually I desire men. Men presenting as men.

But I have total respect for those who wish to present alternatively, and will be an ally always.

Many men want a man to look like a man, and that's completely understandable.

If you're attracted to masculine qualities; someone who chooses to look effeminate will be unappealing.

I'm predominantly attracted to femme people; masc/ordinary/hairy men tend to do nothing for me.

Some TVs look ridiculous as well... I'm sorry but it's true.

As a gay man I'm attracted to men and I prefer masculine men. I can appreciate the skill and effort that some of the TVs put in and the expressive art of drag, however it does nothing for me sexually. Dress how you want, for whatever your reasoning. I have a few kinks myself and I don't expect everyone to share them.

More popular with the bi guys, as they may appreciate the femininity or may have chick-with-a-dick fantasies.

For some bi guys, (that still identify as straight or curious), being with a feminine presenting guy may be a way for him to continue telling himself that same sex activity isn't really "gay".

Be yourself, express yourself, respect that everyone is entitled to have their own preferences.

Gay man here 👋 I'm attracted to men, and typically masculine men. I can appreciate an attractive woman but there's pretty much zero sexual attraction. So a man in female mode does nothing for me, in fact it's usually a boner killer. But I can appreciate that some are rather convincing.

IMO, body hair, especially hairy legs under tights etc. If people like TV/TS, it's because of their femininity. Not shaving their body will almost certainly ensure that virtually no one finds them attractive.

That doesn't answer the OPs question of why do some guys not go for TV/TS. Some guys clearly do go for hairy TV/TS or there would be none, but there are loads on here, making your statement false. Some dont try to look feminine, yet get plenty of attention. Your statement is a just your opinion about those people who dress, which is a different topic entirely.

I know that a number of guys on here just love to believe that any man who touches a cock is secretly full on gay and thereafter living a life of denial, but just maybe, they’re actually not lying to themselves but simply indulging in something a bit kinky that excites them, and no more to it than that. Couldn’t possibly be true could it ?

I don't think I've seen that. Nobody here is going to deny bi people exist or insist that interest in cock = gay. Its certainly true that some people clearly do dress up because it is a fetish, and some people do it because it is how they identify. Its also true that plenty are turned off by it.

But that could be down to the mix of the people using the site now. There are far more Bi’s now and a lot less gays than when I first joined, and the majority of the TV/CD’s are Bi and they are the ones more likely to fab them.

All of that. I am attracted to men. The more masculine the better. Always have been even before I realised that attraction was sexual. Any hint of female clothing on a man is an instant turn-off. Effeminate men just don't do it for me whether dressed or not. I did go through a very unsuccessful phase in my 20s of trying to 'cure' myself but even then it was trying to force myself to be attracted to real women, not men dressed as women. I failed.

I would say that the vast majority of crossdressers/transvestites and their admirers are bisexual rather than homosexual/gay.

TS transsexualism is a different matter. These are men who genuinely think they were born in the wrong body and will go to any lengths, often involving surgery, hormone therapy and vast amounts of money, to 'right nature's wrong'. I respect that but obviously don't fancy them as they are now 'women'.

If 6', 16st Brian wants to dress up in women's clothing in his spare time, call himself Brenda and get fucked by other men even though he has a wife and kids at home, then good luck to him. But he won't appeal to me.

I agree with everything except, whatever they do to themselves dress up, get surgery and or pop female hormones they are still Men!!

Biologically!

But each to their own as far as I’m concerned.

But don’t expect the rest of society to change the way they live or remove hard fought for rights from others just so you can be your genuine self!

And definitely don’t educate children to think that men can have babies or that pronouns are necessary in a school environment!

Rant over!

Cheers, you've encapsulated how I feel too. Nothing about me is feminine other than my preference in underwear. I don't desire to be or act fem or camp, don't talk that way, am one of the lads in a very masculine workspace (although I don't play along with homophobic banter and try to put a reasonable ally slant on it), and I don't refer to myself in fem terms at all and disregard people who assume I want that.

I've never been in any doubt from my first meet that even if it's two guys in pretty lingerie, it's still 100% gay, man-on-man sex.

I'm gay, i like men. Don't have anything against guys who wish to dress and to be honest some do look stunning. In the same way that I can appreciate that a woman can look amazing too. Just it does nothing sexual for me.

If you want to dress up, go for it, we are all different and have our own sexual preferences, thats what makes us all unique. You do you, just enjoy what makes you happy, ok I might not want fun with you but there will be plenty out there who do.
