"It's your life to do with as you please , just live it , people and society in general aren't anything like as judgemental as they once were ,but it really doesn't matter what people think . " 100%. We spend so much time worrying what other people think about us, when actually they don't think anything about us at all. Bonkers.

"Hey, I’m Jake. Looking for advice on how to come to terms with what I am. Been fighting with it since I was a teenager and even though I fight it off for a while I always come back to this. Exhausting going through this every few weeks." The question is why are you struggling to accept who you are. I can understand the worry about “coming out” because of the fear of rejection by family and friends, but the world today isn’t the world of the 1980’s or earlier. People are more accepting these days. So unless they are very anti or outright homophobic, they will probably accept it, some will accept it straight off, some may take a little while to digest it, but if they know you and care about you, you are basically still the same person they have always known, with one slight difference it should be ok. The main issue is that if you can’t accept yourself for who you are, how can you expect others to accept you, and the constant battle with yourself will have a damaging effect on your mental health. Giving in to whatever fears you have about who you are is to let those fears win, beating them and being who you are is very liberating.
