Maybe if they are away for a period of time or a break off the site they hide it to stop coming back to lots of messages 🤷 I dunno just my thought

If I'm unable to meet, but want to browse the forums, hot pics, etc I might hide my profile to avoid getting contacted with meet requests. I don't like to have to keep making excuses, and turning down offers too often seems like a bad idea, could get you a reputation as a fantasist or tw.

I hide mine when I am not looking for a meet, when I am too busy to meet or taking a break. All because someone has hidden their profile doesn't mean there is anything suspicious

I tend to take a break after a meet, or sometimes with stuff going on in life want to take a break from here. But still like to message contacts and browse the forum. Stops people messaging you when you aren't up for meeting anyone.

Don’t have a problem with anyone hiding their profile, but it’s annoying when someone messages you from a hidden profile as you’ve no idea who they are, so their messages are normally deleted

If you are on someone’s friends or hot list then they can still see you online and message you. Or if you have messaged previously.

They just can’t read your profile or see your pictures and not show up on searches. But if you were on one of their lists I would assume that they had seen your profile many times..

If I see one of my ‘friends’ has hidden their profile I would never message them out of respect for their privacy.
