Perhaps it might be better to look at taxing based on citizenship rather than residency.

If you remain a British Citizen you are liable for UK tax - if you don’t want to pay UK tax then take citizenship in the country you choose to live in and renounce your UK citizenship and the rights and protections that go with it.

Obviously there are issues if you get an “overseas posting” that need to be allowed for.

The Americans like to go on about “no taxation without representation” (although tango man doesn’t seem to believe in that), but it would be fair to say “no benefits without taxes” - if you don’t pay UK taxes, then you don’t get the benefits from the UK.
