Italy have been fast improving for the last 3 to 4 years so I'm not overly surprised. Their youth set up, I believe is the best in the world. A 6 nations where all 6 can be competitive can only be a good thing.

That said, England look weak and devoid of leadership and I doubt Borthwick can survive this.

Itoje is also a shit skipper. Getting a yellow at a crucial point in the game is not captaincy, and his thousand yard stare both in interviews and when things aren't going well on field is a big tell. For whatever reason he just isn't the full ticket.

Said this all along. He is just not captain material. Peaked as a player 5 or 6 years ago. Likes to be a bit of a 'look at me' maverick and not a team player. They should have stuck with Jamie George.
