My family are very homophobic and I have to stop myself from laughing when I hear them talking about it. Meanwhile I'm sat here lusting after cock in my spare time.

I do. Sort of. Not in a combative way, more in a "who cares what two guys do" sorta way.

My mom suspected my orientation once I started spending more time with a priest shortly after I separated from my girlfriend.

There were rumours about the priest, and to this day mom doesn’t know that indeed I was having an affair with him, which went on for years.

I remember when she messaged me to say that I should leave this lifestyle, because being gay is equal to “the scum of the earth”. I was very hurt by this, it literally made me feel lightheaded when I read her message.

Most of my family is totally against homosexuality, and mainly for religious reasons which shaped their convictions.

Honestly I have no idea what my parents think about me in that regard, because I kept even my straight relationships very private. I generally don't like people knowing what I'm doing I guess.

Difficult to say. My family is very divided. I came out to one section--brother's widow, her two daughters and grandson plus my own son. All quite happy, open minded and accepting. The other side of the family don't know but may suspect. From things they have said suspect they are homophobic. Hence we don't get on.

Time to start a little bit of education about the 21st century!

My Mum sussed I was either gay or bi. Thankfully I came out after my father passed as he would have shot me lol. I have three brothers and one disowned me for being bi.

The only one whose opinion mattered was my son and he was very happy for me. The fact that he's married to his husband might have helped to be fair! 😆

If there’s a problem it’s their problem … life’s too short to be worrying about what others think about anything that’s legal.
