Ex rugby player myself. Loved looking at the other players in their kit. Especially when damp, muddy and sweaty. Even better when we all stripped off and showered together

Dad used to play rugby. We'd be on the pitch every Sunday morning, no matter what the weather. I'd love nothing more than watching these guys run around in tight shorts because their thoughts were so thick and muscular. Wide chests and muscled arms. I made excuses to go into the changing room a few times and was totally fixated on all these naked guys and dicks swinging away... if I shut my eyes now, I can still picture it...

"Love rugby league kit "

Rugby League kit often looks tighter and the shorts shorter exposing those lovely thighs

Love it. Preferred the older kit worn with visible jocks. Was great when they would get torn and the guys would just play on with their arse bare.

Did you not stress at all about getting aroused?

Arousal happens a lot. Mostly just laugh it off. Spend so much time in close physical contact and naked together that it's all fine.

Yes I did. Some times even had to go and lock myself in a cubicle and have a wank. Also noticed when there was a bit of tomfoolery and horseplay e.g. arse slapping, pissing over another guys feet; some of the straightest of guys were starting to get semis.

Have worn them to meets. But to be honest the shorts are too snug and no stretch in the fabric, so you really just have to take them off to get your cock out.

The material rugby shorts are made of don't have much 'give' in them. Always went for a size larger. Not a problem as they have a drawstring. Nothing worse than your shorts splitting in the scrum although can be interesting

Usually some spoil-sport ref forcing them to get a new pair when the lads would be happy to continue playing.

In professional games with spectators yes. At the level I played we just had to carry on with our ripped shorts

Plenty of kit kinks to be had. Love a jock under rugby shorts.

Trad union kit. Thick cotton. Collar to the shirt.

Or more slippery snug league kit.

Open to DMs lads.

"What were the shorts like "

Used to be strong heavy-weight cotton canvas. Able to withstand rough handling and wear and tear. Once well used and frequently washed they were liable to tear, often baring the jock-clad arse underneath. They were quite short so they would be above the muscular thighs and so as to not restrict movement. The newer ones are lighter weight but still constructed to be very tear-resistant. Most guys playing now wear swim pants under them (budgie smugglers are very popular) don't think may if any wear jock straps anymore.

I used to wear a pair of rugby shorts on my bicycle when I was much younger and several stones lighter...always commando so my balls were close to the edge ...

Very true. When I began my rugby playing days back in the '70s everyone wore a jockstrap. It was as much part of your kit as your boots. Seemed to change suddenly rather than gradually late '90s and early '00s. Younger players started wearing swimming trunks, budgie-smugglers and even cycling shorts under their shorts. Around the same time refurbished clubs started introducing shower cubicles rather than the wonderful communal ones. Spoilsports is all I can say
