Vape shop owners dissapeared already, hadn't been paying council any business tax since they moved into shop. Council's fault for letting these shops be used by unlicensed owners. Not good enough vetting process. To many shops like these now.

I would expect all shops to have some firefighting equipment. It's in the shop owner's own interest to do so.

At the very least they should have fire extinguishers for both electrical and non-electrical fires, that have been serviced annually by a competent person. The shop owner should also have explained to all staff how to use those extinguishers.

I don't know the details of this incident. Maybe they had extinguishers but couldn't access them. I guess there will be an enquiry and we'll find out for sure.

If a lithium battery catches fire the only way to put it out is when it burns out

There are no safe vape shops: dodgy owners, dodgy/dangerous products (health AND safety): they should never have been made legal and should be banned!… IMHO

Insurance companies should be hiking premiums for any properties situated close to vape shops/vape equipment/battery storage!

Anyone know which dodgy MP was responsible for introducing a bill to make vaping and selling vapes legal.

As a point of interest I was on a school trip to the HoC when Sir Gerald Nabarro Mp with handle bar tash, proposed the bill to put health warnings on fag packets...quite an historic moment compared with most of the boring stuff they witter on about.

That bill dates back to 1971, which means you were no more than 5 years old when you went on that trip to the HoC.

Your teacher(s) must have been really keen to introduce you to the workings of Government to expose you to it at that tender age. At my school at that age we'd barely covered the alphabet.

Your scenario is not plausible! There may have been a simple error on the age front?
