Been wanting lose weight/build muscle for a while now, but have no idea where to start, I'm down to try anything.

Eat enough protein from real food. Move heavy weights. Repeat. Don't forget to work the legs.
Warm up before, and stretch out after, exercise.
Do some cardio for general fitness and stamina, but don't expect to lose much fat from cardio.
Try a mixture of different physical activities to keep it interesting, hill walk, cycling, swimming or a sport. You will get a sense of achievement from seeing your times, speeds, distances improve.
Don't do fad diets, although keto can be good if you need to lose body fat or if you are insulin resistant. Protein shakes are waste of money; just an expensive way to produce big very stinky shites. Energy bars and drinks are junk food.
Don't be scared or intimidated by gyms. Most of the people there either don't care about you or will be nice and supportive. Sometimes the massive muscle guys are the nicest and most supportive people you could wish to meet. Most folk will respect you for trying to improve.
No quick fix.
Persevere.
