I have found quite the opposite for me. I'm average build, hairy, stocky and most people seem to like it a lot. Or at least the ones I have met with. Sorry to hear it's not the same all round.

I live in the depth of the Welsh Valleys and in a similar situation. A friend told me about Bear Week in Maspalomas Gran Canaria.

Was on my back for 10days. Made a load of new friends. Also done Bear Week Sitges too.

Apparently so, obese is a no no, curvy and cuddly are off limits and Fat is very much off the table too. I think the term "average" is in common use now.
