Definitely not. Wouldn’t want anyone sucking my cock if they had a cold sore especially if it was to pass on something. I think they come from from the same virus as herpes

No"

Is it the same virus as herpes? If so probably best not meeting while the virus is active. But getting advice from your local Sexual Health Clinic would be a good idea.

No. I also, personally, wouldn't meet until the cold sore had healed and disappeared. It's just nasty.

Think they'd be more worried about catching something from you. Probably why you've never met anyone

Yes as others have stated it’s the same virus that causes genital herpes. The absence of a cold sore on the lips doesn’t mean the person isn’t shedding the virus. So getting worked up about a cold sore is a bit precious. Common sense should prevail , if you have a cold sore don’t kiss or nosh someone off . Would it prevent me from meeting someone? Probably not but I would restrict play to non mouth to mouth or cock activities.

More to the point, I wouldn't want to meet anyone if I had one.As well as respecting guys health, Id be self conscious.

I do tend to get them occasionally, the sun triggers mine I think.

Yes it is the same virus herpes simplex

Oral (cold sore's) tend to be the HSV-1 virus

Genital tends to be the HSV-2 virus

Here is what the NHS says:

"Cold sores are contagious from the moment you first feel tingling or other signs of a cold sore coming on to when the cold sore has completely healed.

They can easily spread to other people and other parts of your body.

To help stop cold sores spreading:

- wash your hands with soap and water whenever you touch your cold sore

- do not kiss anyone while you have a cold sore

- do not have oral sex until your cold sore completely heals as you could give your partner genital herpes"

== So the answer is NO.

Zovirax is silly money. I get the cheap version and apply at the first tingle. This is good advice though.

"I would like to get your opinion on guys with a cold sore on their lip, would you meet or not?"

No, definitely not! Cold sores are caused by the Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV-1), a highly contagious virus that spreads through direct contact with the sore, saliva, or skin-to-skin contact, even when no sore is visible, once a person is infected, although the cold sore will eventually heal, the virus stays dormant in the body until triggered.

Kidderminster

It's a form of herpes, a sexually transmitted virus that the greatest percentage of the population have.

You may want to avoid kissing but if you also get them, you already have it.

It never goes away.

Whatever quack remedies you been given, the best is still Zovirax or a generic version.

Apply the lotion to the skin, or you'll get the scab again.

Do it at the first 'tingle'.
