Hi I’m thinking of going on holidays for a few nights in may on my own. Wouldn’t mind a place that’s gay friendly. Particularly interested in older men and bears. I’ve heard Gran Canaria is good but does anyone have any recommendations or tips for a first time solo holiday

Benidorm's okay, apart from the horrendous British drink culture. I've had plenty of action using Fabguys 'Who's near' function there, and H2O Sauna is very good too.

I had a first time solo holiday in Gran Canaria and couldn’t have had a better time. Stayed in hotel Neptuno in Playa des Ingles.

Sitges is nice. Very gay friendly and a lot of decent bars and clubs. Bit pricy though. Barcelona is near if you want a bit of culture as well as fun…
