If you are totally straight [the vast majority] you would not even contemplate having sex with another man. Same goes with totally straight men who would never dream of going with a woman. Some like both men and women. Some men suppress their 'gay side' until later in life. Convention expects them to be straight and being gay has only recently become acceptable and even then not with everyone. Being gay still carries a stigmas in less enlightened quarters. Hence so many gay and bi men insisting they are really straight. | |||

"Personally, unlike many on here, i couldn’t care less how anyone chooses to describe their sexuality. When i meet someone it’s simply to play and then go our seperate ways. My thinking is that many guys on here happily spend 99% of their time leading a straight lifestyle and meet men for a bit of excitement simply because that’s how they want it. It's not weird at all, I get lots of messages from supposedly straight guys on that site, lots of them are on here with bi profiles, they put straight in their profiles because they think putting bi gives them little of no chance with couples and women in an already highly competitive market. | |||

Can also mean straight acting, with many gay guys, you would not know they were gay unless you knew them personally. Not all gay guys are effeminate, walk with a certain swagger, have a limp wrist and do a good impression of the teapot. | |||
