Hotel California just came up randomly on my playlist, took me right back to when I was in the States 30yrs ago, working for a professional Dominatrix

She'd tie me before bed in a cage and play this as I drifted off, a little neuro linguistic programming

The line stays with me and triggers the required response every time, 30yrs later

"We are all just prisoners here of our own device...you can checkout any time but you can never leave"

I adored Her...

Tunes that give you vivid memories anyone ? Xx

Small Town Boy. Bronski Beat

I arrived in Brighton. After coming out and being disowned by my whole family.

So many gay friends I made in Brighton shared this story.

“The love that you seek, can never be found at home”

Love and affection. Joan Armatrading

I'd left school and got a job. I had my own money and my life was starting to become my own.

I am not in love but I'm open to persuasion.

The song summed up my life at that stage. Starting to flourish. It's stayed with me all these years. So much so I want it at my funeral

“And I'd look down upon them, at

The teachers who said I'd be nothing”

They were so wrong.

Not only did I become a teacher but I had a very exciting career before that too.
