Skelmersdale

To the panty lovers among us; can you give a guy any tips on how to get a good fit when buying online? I'm too nervous to ask in shops 😞

If in doubt, buy a size or two bigger than what you think you are. Nothing sillier than a ridiculously undersized thong with bollocks hanging out of it unless that's what you really want.

I'm about 40" chest, 36" waist (albeit with a bit of a beer belly hanging over the top of it) and find 40B/C bras fit me well and size 16-20 knickers. For Shein/Temu sizing I probably go around 2XL (it gets a bit vague with them)

From your pics and height I'd guess you're at least a couple of sizes bigger than me so you probably want to be looking size 20-24 in euro sizes or 3-4XL in Chinese ones.

Near Scarborough

It can be a minefield as the female sizing (16, 18 etc) feels quite random and can vary by brand.

I’ve got a 40 inch waist and started off getting size 20+ but they were too loose, I like to feel snug.

I now get size 16.

You can get cheap packs in supermarkets (I like Sainsbury’s stuff) to help you find your size.

I’ve bought bit from vinted in the past, you can get it delivered to a pick up point which is normally a convenience shop.

Shops are definitely fun and all the major shops with clothing sections are filled with good items. Especially exciting if on self serve next to a guy who notices the hosiery and panties and wine lol

Also Vinted! Way cheaper than new and you get the additional kick that they've probably been worn by the seller even if declared as unworn (they have to say that to get round rules on selling panties)

I find the sales assistants in Ann Summers and Victoria's Secret very helpful and I was in Etam in Paris a couple of years back and the shop assistant asked if I was looking for knickers for me. I said 'oui" and she was extremely helpful too.

Go for a size 16 as a safe bet if thats the size trousers as well.

Have fun, buy cheap to get your size then buy nice stuff. Shops vary though so check their sizing charts o their website as well.

And honestly, nobody cares whats in your shopping basket, chuck a few other things in the basket as well and enjoy the thrill of buying them in a shop, its a real rush when you first do it. Addictive.

I’m a 32 inch waist, 40/42 chest. I tend to go for size 12 knickers and 40a bras. Other tops I aim for a 16 top, sometimes 18 depending on the item and a 14 for skirts. I tend to avoid Chinese stuff as they’re all a bit random and usually too small.

And if the thrill of buying instore is enjoyed, always but something too small as well as good sizes. Then you get to take it back and ask to swap for a bigger size. Double the thrill !

I Love the knowing smile I sometimes get from the cashier, especially if she engages in small talk, like “oh I love these, they’re so pretty”…..
