The Moon mission is to launch this evening.

Now, I know you lovely people can be relied upon to have a civilised debate, so I'll ask the question....

Did man really land on the moon?

Of course they went to the moon. Wallace and Gromit certainly did.

Good luck to crew of Artemis 2.

Yes they did. One of the Apollo missions left retroreflectors which are mirror like reflectors that a laser can be bounced back off.

So if we HAVE actually landed on the moon 60 odd years ago, why don't we do it today??

With the advent of AI and supercomputers this whole mission could become a fake.

Now that's a thought

I'm not normally into conspiracy theories but I make an exception in this case . The Americans wanted to beat the Soviets at any cost .

There was a race to the moon. The Russians and Americans both wanted to get there first.

The Russians tracked the mission to the moon and said that the Americans got there. If it hadn’t happened they would have said so, and tried to get there themselves.

So yes I believe it actually happened.

Those health and safety nurds wouldn't have let Apollo 11 off the ground never mind land on the moon in this day and age of gutless tossers. Couldn't give a monkeys about Artemis 2, the real pioneers done it in 1969

Think that is how they have shown the that the moon is moving away from the earth. The rate is about 3.78 cm per year.

On a wing and a prayer, and less technology than you have in your mobile phone today.

o.....apparently the whole lot was faked and filmed by Stanley Kubrick.... Who was such a perfectionist that he insisted that they film on location, that's why it looks so real...

To be fair, there was less technology than there was in a Nokia 3310.

Of course he did..Lance Armstong was the first man on the moon..NASA wouldn't let him take his bike...( in case he got a puncture...his bike pump wouldn't work) ...

Everyone remembers Lance Armstrong..nobody remembers Buzz Lightyear..

It's amazing what the powers that be can do, once they need to distract people away from the epstein files.

So much going on this year already!

Personally think it's a waste of money

BUT

The man in the moon is a lady

A lady with lipstick and curls

The cow that jumped over

Cried jumping Jehovah

I think it's just one of the girls

She winks at the stars from her bed of green cheese

It isn't a nightgown, but a satin chemise

Oh her friends are the stars and the planets

She sends the big dipper a kiss

So don't ever offend her

Remember her gender

The man in the moon is a MISS.

"So if we HAVE actually landed on the moon 60 odd years ago, why don't we do it today?? "

Because America won the (polical) space race against the ruskies sixty years ago! A wonder of advanced technology, smoke and mirrors in Area 51 back then!
