RIP x

The world's oldest living creature has sadly passed away today in St Helena, aged estimated to be 193 years old.

Hard to fathom being alive for so long!

A sad day for St. Helena. Will probably be buried in Napoleon’s tomb as it currently unoccupied.

The Giant Tortoise did not receive a scientific name for over 300 years due to the failure of delivery of specimens to Europe for classification due to their great taste - all were eaten on the voyage back by sailors, even by Charles Darwin.

Sad day when such an Animal Dies.
