Giving out address

When is an acceptable time to give out your address for a meet? Trying to arrange a meet for Friday night at mine, & the guy wants my address now. Ive given him road name, but he wants house number. Usually I only give that out on the day (more often than not, when he says he's on his way) I have verifications so guys know I'm genuine. Now he's stopped messaging. Am I being unreasonable?

I usually have a phone or WhatsApp chat or contact as a back up to see someone is genuine. I've travelled before to find the guy has blocked or deleted profile and felt a fool.

Tricky. On one hand you need to feel safe that he's not going to come round before you're ready. On the other hand, he needs to feel you're genuine.

I only give out my postcode and ask them to message me when they are parked up. I'll then tell them where they need to go. I dont even tell them the house number, rather I descibe the house. Works fine.

A guy wanted my address before we’d arranged a meet. I gave him the post code, but he then asked for the house number. I told him that I only give that information when we have a confirmed meet. Didn’t hear from him again.

Me too, this is sensible. Or I'll give a nearby street in advance so at least can see how far it is.

I only give my postcode, minus house No, ahead of the meeting date. I will only give that on the day or the night before once I am convinced that the cock is genuine

I usually give the road and postcode in advance so they can see whete they need to travel to. I also check their verifications to see how many meetings, feedback from both parties etc. I'm mindful that they're likely to be just as nervous as they don't know what they're walking into

Trying to arrange a meet four days in advance is already a fools errand

I’d never expect full details until just before the meet. Ideally I’d want details to the street just before I set off, so I can give updates on my eta, once nearby, I’d be after some good detail on where you are, and where to park etc, so I don’t look like I’m a burglar casing the area. In general chat and for very rough non-committal planning, knowing the rough area is good enough.

Tough one. From someone that does the visiting, i like to googke the address, just to check out parking and if its a decent looking place.

Always feek suspicious when people dont give full address but understand why.

I only give my door number on the day of the meet. Even then veiled behind me asking "We still on for later...?"

I'll be very honest too, I've never had a bad experience as I often do anon darkroom meets.
