It’s universal from both sides. For a masterclass in political word soup, listen to any interview by Pritti Patel. They often start with ‘let me be clear’ before launching into a three minute run-on sentence which goes nowhere near the question. Rather, it alternates between ‘everything is their fault’ and ‘we did a great job’. By the time she’s finished, the interviewer has generally forgotten what the question was.

As a contrast, Michael Gove often used to give a one word ‘yes’ or ‘no’, which totally threw the interviewer!

Let me be clear

I've been very clear

I want to be very clear

They all do it and then spout the most unclear crap you can imagine. Theresa May was a master at it.

PMQs has become even more of a farce. That didn't seem possible, but here we are.

Q: What is the government going to do about Y?

A: The Tories spend 15 years failing to fix Z.

sigh!

It's the Eton/Oxford elite from the old British Empire, they still control politics. They have forced Trump to destroy America, and they have been doing the same to the UK for decades. They control the civil service and the City of London as well as the banks and investment houses.

We need to get rid of them, and it is happening slowly. Get ready for a world dominated by China. Russia and Iran.

It's different in the valleys.

We're an anarcho-syndicalist commune. We're taking turns to act as a sort of executive-officer-for-the-week--

but all the decisions of that officer have to be ratified at a special bi-weekly meeting by a simple majority.

In what way have Old Etonians forced Trump to do anything? You’ll have to help me with that one

"Who's sick of hearing this nonsense from Labour? "

It’s not just from Labour though is it? All politicians, from all sides, in all nations use phrases like that. It allows them thinking time, so that they can then avoid answering the question asked.

It pains me to say but Trump doesn't bother with wishy washy answers..just the opposite...but then again he's not really a politician is he !...

I suppose Prime Minister Nigel Farage

( too early ?)usually doesn’t skirt subjects either.....

at Prime Ministers Questions Blair and Johnson just told outright

" exaggerations "

King Charles will sort Trump out, maybe offer him a knighthood. Anyway how many wars can Trump handle at the same time ? Hes got his hands full at the moment so unless he comes up with a miracle then we are safe for a while. Jd Vance is definitely Judas though.

..

The damage Trump has done will be nothing compared to the damage Vance would do...in my opinion.
